Aterciopelados - DUO

Description

This visually experimental music video blends surreal live-action with hand-drawn animation and glitch-inspired aesthetics. I contributed to the rotoscoping, visual effects, and compositing, helping to create a fluid integration between the real performers and animated elements.

Using rotoscoping, I isolated the musicians frame by frame to allow animated figures and motion graphics to flow around and behind them. This gave the animations a strong presence without overwhelming the performance. My compositing work involved matching the lighting and perspective of the 2D elements to the environment, preserving the raw visual style while maintaining visual balance.

The overall effect is a dreamlike, collage-style world where the boundaries between live-action and animation blur — and I helped make that seamless and expressive through precise VFX work.
